It is incredible to believe that May is upon us, moving through the months and seasons at a fast pace.

Highfield has just celebrated  "Scottish Night" which opened with the piping of the haggis and a traditional haggis for residents to sample. There was also a pot luck dinner of which there was an abundance of amazing food. The magnificent Te Awamutu Pipe Band delighted and entertained everyone with a fantastic selection of Scottish  music and everyone appreciated their amazing talent.

The garden team have been hard at work in our beautiful village surroundings, removing trees along the boundary to enable more light to filter through during the winter months. The hedging throughout the village is a real feat of engineering, with precise lines and edges - a real show stopper. We love the expertise and flair of the garden team!

May is a big month for the hunter gatherers, hearing the stags roaring with duck season starting as well.
