Driving through the village looking at the beautiful  Highfield surroundings, it is evident that the garden team have been hard at work. The landscaped grounds are absolutely stunning. We are so fortunate to be able to enjoy everything around us and to appreciate the gorgeous plants, shrubs and trees and the expertise of the garden team.

The temperature has started to drop, there is a nip in the air and the light is fading more quickly at night, autumn has definitely arrived. It won’t be long until we see the beauty of autumn in glorious shades of orange, brown and yellows.

In April we want to showcase some of the wonderful Highfield activities on offer. The walking trips are very popular, with this month's photo taken at Newstead Walkway. The sit and be fit classes are bursting – we even had to order more hand weights to keep up with demand. The pool and spa are very popular and we are constantly amazed watching the line dancers as they have to memorise so many steps. The bowlers are enjoying their days on the green and the coffee trips are savored by everyone who attends and ventures out. There is great group of card players and the pool tables see a lot of healthy competition, friendly banter and laughter. Aren’t we lucky to be able to participate in so many varied and fun activities within the village.
