It is wonderful to welcome the additional hour that daylight savings brings. I can already smell the beautiful aroma coming from the barbeque, sharing dinners and connecting with family and friends. There is an abundance of Tui's throughout the village a sure sign of spring.

The village gardens are looking stunning, the  hedging and shrubs have been manicured to perfection, beautiful colors abound with the fragrant floral scent in the air. The removal and replacement of bark has been a huge undertaking, but it looks fabulous and will help with weed suppression in the future. To the Highfield Team, we thank you for the amazing surroundings that we are fortunate to enjoy and be part of.

This month sees some spectacular events. The Social Committee are hosting a fashion parade featuring a breath-taking bridal display of gowns. There is also a magnificent display of wedding photos showcasing both residents and staff. Thank you to the social committee for your time and organization to make this event so special.

Highfield is fortunate to have the talented Opera singer Michael Liu performing in the Lodge on Sunday 6th of October for our Highfield residents. There is also a wonderful make up workshop for residents to learn different techniques.

October is going to be full of wonderful events and activities, something for everyone. Enjoy!!!
